** Each Month of 2024 we are going to have a Christian principle that we will focus on. For February we are going to focus on Respect - “Follow the Golden Rule”. Jesus and the woman who was about to have stones thrown at her. John 8: 1-11

**Lent - Praying that you are engaged for the start of Lent. Ash Wednesday will be our kickoff to our Lenten season and we will start by getting back to our roots with a Methodist, liturgical, deeply reflective Ash Wednesday service on February 14th at 7:30 pm. (Maplewood will be offering Ash Wednesday service at 6:00 pm). We will then walk through our Lenten season with our series "Giving It Up!" We will look at the ways in which we can give up meaningful things, not just superficial things. Hopefully you will be able to join us!

** The new website and email are active and are the new contact locations for all things Cornerstone Fellowship of DeGraff. https://www.cornerstonedegraff.org/ is online but still a work in progress. You are hopefully using the new [email protected] for the church email.

** There are positions available within the church for you to get involved and belong to this body of believers. Be prayerful over the possibilities that God is desiring to use you.

- Nominations volunteer - 1 spot still open
- Hospitality chairperson - still open
- We are also looking for a Lay Leader for the church!
There are many more ways in which you can get involved. Reach out to Pastor Mike with the ways in which God is calling you to be active!

The G.R.A.C.E. group is back to a normal schedule now that things have been getting back to normal after the Christmas break. 

Packing takes place on Tuesday mornings with setup starting at 9:30 and packing beginning at 10:00! Feel free to join us!

** Celebration of Life for Warren Carey - The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Cornerstone Fellowship of DeGraff, 1839 County Road 24S in DeGraff, where Pastor Michael Mitchell will officiate a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff, Ohio.

** Light Hours has been a great resource for our college age young people. Stay tuned for our next meeting day and time.

** Faith Builders new Bible study group will be taking a break due to schedules and ball games. Will be looking for a time coming up soon to get back started. We will be looking to start a new Faith Builders Class at the beginning of our Lenten season, so be on the look out for this new class! Let Pastor Mike know if you are interested!

** Our Cornerstone Women's group is planning to meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month. The next meeting will take place Thursday February 15th at 6:00.

** Our Cornerstone Men's group will be meeting again, but we might have to make an exception for Ash Wednesday on February 14th! Stay tuned for when the men's group will be meeting next. 

** Looking for people to join a new small group. This group will meet once a month and will tackle a tough topic that takes some reflection. Think of it as a Bible study, but a little deeper! Want to go deeper? Let us know!

**Missions Moment - time to get involved! - we have been busy helping families in need within our community! We are also looking for more ways to make an impact in our community! If you have any ideas, reach out to Sue Walls and let her know!

** We are now collecting boxes of spaghetti or macaroni for the Five Loaves Food Pantry. 1 or 2 lb. boxes, no sauce! We need 55 by Feb. 18th. They give out meals and food boxes Wed. Feb. 21st at 4:30 pm. If you would like to help carry boxes!

Two years ago we were On Mission! Worship - Reflect - Pray - Study - Serve - you can still use these methods! In 2023 we used the 5-S Method of Being The Church - Surrender - Surrounded - Spirit-Led - Self-Fed - Sent - We can still use the tools that we have been given to make sure that we have a fruitful relationship with God!
