Much of who we are and who we are going to be will come from this conference. Please be in prayer for our church and all of those who are on this new journey together! ** G.R.A.C.E. notes for this week. G.R.A.C.E. Volunteers, United Way of Logan County is presenting another Poverty Simulation on Wednesday September 27 from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the Hilliker YMCA. We are primarily doing this one as the initiation for our new Student United Way group. But we have additional spaces that we can open up for other agencies and the general public. No new updates, other than, we packed 127 bags plus a few items for the Junior High/High School Share Tables. There is to be a discussion this Tuesday, September 12th, immediately following packing. We will decide whether or not we will do some lunch in the park/grab & go meals or drive-thru soup & sandwich nights. Please come prepared to help decide what we will do, when, and how. Darlene & Sarah G.R.A.C.E. Co-Chairs ** 1st Wednesday Kids Club has likely run its course. With most of our teachers and helpers not getting any younger, we simply do not feel that we can provide adequate care for our kids. We do encourage you to sign up through the United Way to be a lunch buddy! If they get enough help they will be able to cover 3rd and 2nd graders! You can reach out to Melody Couchman from the Logan County United Way at [email protected]. The program begins October 17th. ** Light Hours has been a great resource for our college age young people. Stay tuned for our next meeting day and time. ** We are always looking for 5th Quarter adult help. We are looking forward to two more this football season, on October 6th and October 20th. ** Carrie Minnich and Garry James are getting married in Tasmania on September 24th. Please shower them with cards: Mr. & Mrs. Garry James, 20 Tarants Road, Granton TAS 7080 Australia. ** Faith Builders new Bible study group will be taking a break due to schedules and ball games. Will be looking for a time coming up soon to get back started. ** Our Cornerstone Women's group is planning to meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month. The next meeting will take place Thursday October 5th at 6:00. ** Our Cornerstone Men's group will be looking to change their day and time so that we can reach more of our men than we currently are. Stay tuned for the new meeting dates and times. **Missions Moment - time to get involved! The free community produce tent is up and ready this summer in partnership with New Beginnings Church. The tent is set up at New Beginnings and will stay there until sometime in September. Please share this info with local gardeners who may want to donate some of their harvest to the tent. We had enough volunteers to help get everything on the tables and then packed. We even had some new Possibilities members and helpers this week.
