Remember God’s Promises - Psalm 100:5 ** Each Month of 2024 we are going to have a Christian principle that we will focus on. For February we are going to focus on Respect - “Follow the Golden Rule”. Ash Wednesday will be our kickoff to our Lenten season and we will start by getting back to our roots with a Methodist, liturgical, deeply reflective Ash Wednesday service on February 14th at 7:30 pm. (Maplewood will be offering Ash Wednesday service at 6:00 pm). We will then walk through our Lenten season with our series "Giving It Up!" We will look at the ways in which we can give up meaningful things, not just superficial things. Hopefully you will be able to join us! ** Our website can provide you access to all sorts of Lenten studies and devotional materials. You are hopefully using the new [email protected] for the church email. ** There are positions available within the church for you to get involved and belong to this body of believers. Be prayerful over the possibilities that God is desiring to use you. - Administrative Council chairperson - still open - Nominations volunteer - 1 spot still open - Hospitality chairperson - still open - We are also looking for a Lay Leader for the church! G.R.A.C.E. volunteers, The G.R.A.C.E. group is back to a normal schedule now that things have been getting back to normal after the Christmas break. Packing takes place on Tuesday mornings with setup starting at 9:30 and packing beginning at 10:00! Feel free to join us! Thank you! Darlene ____________________________________________________________ ** Light Hours has been a great resource for our college age young people. Stay tuned for our next meeting day and time. ** Our Faith Builders class will be starting back up on Wednesday nights! This week will be Ash Wednesday and the following Wednesday night will be our first Faith Builders class. February 21st starting at 7:00. As a group we will decide on whether we will eat or just meet at our first session. This will run five weeks and be finished just before Holy Week. Let Pastor Mike know if you are interested so that he can get your binder ready and save you a seat! ** Our Cornerstone Women's group is planning to meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month. The next meeting will take place Thursday February 15th at 6:00. ** Our Cornerstone Men's group will be meeting again, but will be taking a break for Ash Wednesday on February 14th! The next Men's group will meet on Wednesday February 21st at 7:00 pm. ** Looking for people to join a new small group. This group will meet once a month and will tackle a tough topic that takes some reflection. Think of it as a Bible study, but a little deeper! Want to go deeper? Let us know! **Missions Moment - time to get involved! - we have been busy helping families in need within our community! We are also looking for more ways to make an impact in our community!
