** The Free Sale was a tremendous success for our community. Special thanks to Sue Walls, our Missions Chair, for leading the way, and all of those who put in time, setting up, sorting, making hot dogs, serving people, and most of all being the hands and feet of Jesus to people!
** The new website and email are active but still under construction. https://www.cornerstonedegraff.org/ is online but still a work in progress. You will soon be able to use [email protected] for the email. I have included it in this email! These will all be fully active by the end of the week! We now have a new Facebook page home as well, so be sure to begin following: https://www.facebook.com/CornerstoneDeGraff The new YouTube channel is also active so you can jump over to the site and subscribe!: https://youtube.com/@CornerstoneFellowshipDeGraff ** Effective July 1, we will be part of the Global Methodist Church, and we will be in the Allegheny West Conference and you can visit their site at https://alleghenywestgmc.org/ if you are wanting more information! There will be a convening conference for Allegheny West coming in October. ** G.R.A.C.E. notes for this week. With one more week to go (08/09/2023) for the Summer Lunch Program on Wednesdays, we wanted to thank everyone for the support provided. We receive positive comments quite frequently and your help is appreciated. Next week, it is a "G.R.A.C.E." provides the meal day. Please come to the park to share in the lunch meal between 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. next Wednesday and/or help. In 9 weeks, we have served 948 lunches (plus some additional sandwich or other items only) to 598 adults and 350 children. WOW! More than likely, we will hit 1,000+! In addition, Sherri Herring and Elaine Mitchell have been there weekly to pass out Spiritual Gifts coloring pages to children - or adults who have taken pages as well. Meals have been provided by Cornerstone Fellowship (formerly DeGraff UMC), Quincy Methodist, Philadelphia Lutheran, and Stony Creek - with help from the ladies at New Beginnings Church to make some of our cookies. Thank you all! Thanks to a United Way Youth Grant for $1,000.00, these meals were less costly. A special thanks to businesses and individuals who have donated items or provided discounts to us. Those include: Subway of Bellefontaine, Easton Water, Thoman's IGA, Merle Orsborne, Designs by Sharonesse, Our Daily Bread, individuals who provided monetary donations for meals (more than $165 for summer meals so far). Please let me know if I missed someone. We want to make sure we send Thank You notes. Next week's menu is Subway sub sandwiches & veggie toppings, assorted chips, fruit - probably apples, cookies, bottled water or juice. Again, thank you for all your help and especially for your prayers. We will be sharing Fall Weekend Bag Program information soon along with discussion about "Fall Soup & Sandwich Nights" and other activities. God's blessing for each of your days! Co-Chairs ____________________________________________________________ ** 1st Wednesday Kids Club is done for the school year, and we are beginning to explore what next year will look like. If you would like to get involved in the planning process, feel free to reach out! We will be praying over the school next Sunday at 1:00 pm if anyone is willing and able to go and pray! ** Light Hours has been a great resource for our college age young people. They will be meeting again soon. They are looking for a way to help our church and are going to be starting a fundraiser to help us get new chairs in our fellowship / gathering area! ** Logan County Youth Worship Night is being planned for September 10th at Indian Lake High School. ** Faith Builders new Bible study group will be taking a break due to schedules and ball games. Will be looking for a time coming up soon to get back started. ** Our Cornerstone Women's group is planning to meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month. The next meeting will take place Thursday August 1th at 6:00. ** Our Cornerstone Men's group will be meeting at the church, on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month! The next meeting will be August 10th at 7:00. **Missions Moment - time to get involved! The free community produce tent is up and ready this summer in partnership with New Beginnings Church. The tent is set up at New Beginnings and will stay there until sometime in September. Please share this info with local gardeners who may want to donate some of their harvest to the tent. ** If you would like to purchase a Cornerstone Fellowship of DeGraff shirt you can follow this link and purchase your Cornerstone Fellowship swag! We need 55 by August 13th. They will still serve meals and give out food boxes Wed. August 16th at 4:30pm, if you would like to help serve and carry boxes!
