Step 2: Forward Focus: Philippians 3:13 - "No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead."

Step 3: Relationship over Ritual: Hosea 6:6 - "I want you to show love, not offer sacrifices. I want you to know me more than I want burnt offerings."

** Our Cornerstone Women's group is planning to meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month. The next meeting will take place on January 8th. They will be meeting at the church at 6:00 pm. Come for some fellowship and care, with some fun of course! Feel free to stop in and check it out!

** Our Cornerstone Men's will be back! Starting on January 9th at 6:30. We will be looking at Tony Evans' book No More Excuses or possibly discussing other options. Hopefully you can join us!

**Missions Moment - 31 Boxes were packed and shipped for Operation Christmas Child so that children across the world were able to have a good Christmas. We also participated with Quincy Methodist Church in the Good Deeds Advent Calendar. 25 different charities across our local community, state, country and the world benefited from our giving!

Step 1: Repent and Turn To God: Acts 2:38 - “Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

Step 2: Live A Life of Love: Matthew 22: 37-39 - “Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

Step 3: Serve and Help Others: Mark 10: 44-45 - “And whoever wants to be first among you must be the slave of everyone else. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

** Last Sunday Worship Night - We are going to be experiencing a good old fashioned family Christmas on December 21st at 6:30 pm. ** Youth Group Sunday Night!!! There was another great youth group last night!! There will be a serving opportunity for our 7th thru 12th graders as we will be wrapping presents as a way to show love and give back. Gift wrapping will be by donation on December 21st from 5:00 - 6:00 pm. Limited space is available, please contact DeeDee at 937-658-2211.

Step 1: Read Scripture Daily: Joshua 1:8 - “Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.”

Step 2: Pray Daily: Luke 18:1 - “One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up.” Read verses 2-8 to hear the story!

Step 3: Find Fellowship: Galatians 6: 2-3 - “Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ. If you think you are too important to help someone, you are only fooling yourself. You are not that important.”

** Last Sunday Worship Night - It was a great time last week. You got to hear some old stories about Pastor Mike and he had the opportunity to tell you about what he believes and what he is praying for. Ephesians 3: 14-21 - Everyday!! Our last Sunday night worship coming up will be changing. The Sunday after thanksgiving will be tough and the team is working on putting together a Sunday night in December where we will come together and experience Christmas!

Step 1: Always Be Joyful: 1 Thessalonians 5:16 - “Always be joyful.” Your joy should be infectious and consistent, even in trouble.
 
Step 2: Never Stop Praying: 1 Thessalonians 5:17 - “Never stop praying.” Prayer is the air that movement breathes. Praying moves the mountains.

- We will be looking to fill positions as we come to the end of the year. 2 in each major ministry team (Trustees / PPR / Nominations) will need to be filled. Begin praying as we will begin meeting and thinking of people who would be awesome and have the gifts needed. 

** Annual Church Charge Conference will be held on Thursday November 13th at 7:00 pm at Quincy Methodist Church. We will be joining Quincy and walking through both of our charge conferences together. Our annual conference views our connection as a single charge with a single pastor!

- We also still need a lay leader for the church, and a lay delegate to the annual conference. Annual conference is an amazing trip and is always good and Spirit filled!

** Our Cornerstone Men's group is breaking for Cornerstone Archery! Cornerstone Archery is OFF this week. We will be back next Tuesday Nov. 18th and setup will begin around 5:00 and sessions will go from 6:00 - 8:30 in the auditeria at Riverside Local School. 

** Youth Group Sunday Night!!! The team is working hard to continue to provide a space for our students, so look for our Youth group to get started in November on the 1st and 3rd Sunday nights coming up in November! The next Youth Group will be on Sunday night November 16th!

** Last Sunday Worship Night - Last night our Sunday Night Worship was incredible. We had some great fellowship, testimony, and wonderful singing!! Such a powerful night! We will have our next Last Sunday Night Worship Night on October 26th! We will fellowship and eat at 6:00 and begin our time of worship at 6:30! We will have Pizza with the Pastor night!! So come with your questions for Pastor Mike and eat some pizza with us!

** Chili Cookoff and Pie Baking Contest!! - October 4th our church will be hosting a chili and soup cookoff event. 

** 5th Quarter was amazing this past Friday night!! Jeremy Liles came and shared music and a message! The next 5th Quarter is this week, October 3rd! The team has put in a lot of effort in listening to the Spirit and what God wants to do. I cannot wait to see what He does next! The dates coming this season are  Oct. 24th. 9:30 - 11:30!

** Advent Devotional - We have been asked to partner with Quincy Methodist on a daily devotional that is filled with stories of Christmas submitted by all of you! I believe that we have all spots filled and we have made our Oct. 15th deadline. More details to come for those who are participating and providing materials!

**Missions Moment - FREE SALE was once again a success. We had over 168 people come through the door and we still have items left over that will be donated at a later date. Thank you to everyone who works so hard all week and weekend to make this a success.

** We are now collecting canned soup for the Five Loaves Food Pantry. We need 55 by October 12th. They give out meals and food boxes Wed. October 15th at 4:30 pm. If you would like to help pack and deliver boxes.

Wednesday: Bible Study - 10:00 am / Praise Team Practice 6:00 pm / Choir Practice 6:45 pm / Pastor Mike’s Quick Shots 8:00 pm on Facebook or Youtube.

Thursday: Church Open 10-12 / Senior Lunch 11:00 / Cornerstone Women 6:00

Friday: Church Open 2:30 - 4:30 / 5th Quarter 9:30 - 11:30

Two years ago we were On Mission! Worship - Reflect - Pray - Study - Serve - you can still use these methods! In 2023 we used the 5-S Method of Being The Church - Surrender - Surrounded - Spirit-Led - Self-Fed - Sent - All of these things are timeless and will always be helpful for us to measure whether or not we are "being" the "church".

Please pray this week for those who are sick and need healing, and those who you can share the love of Christ with! Do not forget to pray for your church, your community, and your pastor.
