This Week: Nov. 10th thru Nov. 16th

** Also - Faith Builders will be starting next Wednesday at 7:00. If you are interested in becoming more aware of what we believe as Global Methodist and how God can use your gifts and talents, let me know and I will make sure to save you a spot!

** Michelle Klingler will be starting up a new Bible Study. Feel free to let us know what day and time works best for you and we will try to match you all up!

** Upcoming Events:

** Action Steps to Living With Thanksgiving - 1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18
Step 1: Always Be Joyful: 1 Thessalonians 5:16 - “Always be joyful.” Your joy should be infectious and consistent, even in trouble.
 
Step 2: Never Stop Praying: 1 Thessalonians 5:17 - “Never stop praying.” Prayer is the air that movement breathes. Praying moves the mountains.

Step 3: Be Thankful In All Things: 1 Thessalonians 5:18 - “Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” He wants you to have peace, and that is done through thanksgiving.

** Pastor Mike will be in the office this Wednesday from 10-1. ( I am going to start switching days with Quincy)

** Last Sunday Worship Night - It was a great time last week. You got to hear some old stories about Pastor Mike and he had the opportunity to tell you about what he believes and what he is praying for. Ephesians 3: 14-21 - Everyday!! Our last Sunday in November would be the 30th and should be at Quincy!! Looking forward to ushering in the Advent season and seeing what God wants to do!

**Grief Share Group - Our grief group is currently on hiatus. If you would like to be a part of a grief sharing group, please let Pastor Mike know and we can get it back!

** Did you know that God has blessed you with a special set of skills and gifts? He has also called you to be involved and belong to this body of believers. Be prayerful over the possibilities that God is desiring to use you. 

- We will be looking to fill positions as we come to the end of the year. 2 in each major ministry team (Trustees / PPR / Nominations) will need to be filled. Begin praying as we will begin meeting and thinking of people who would be awesome and have the gifts needed. 

** Annual Church Charge Conference will be held on Thursday November 13th at 7:00 pm at Quincy Methodist Church. We will be joining Quincy and walking through both of our charge conferences together. Our annual conference views our connection as a single charge with a single pastor!

- We also still need a lay leader for the church, and a lay delegate to the annual conference. Annual conference is an amazing trip and is always good and Spirit filled!

There are many more ways in which you can get involved. Reach out to Pastor Mike with the ways in which God is calling you to be active!

Packing for weekend backpacks are on Tuesdays at 10:00 am at Cornerstone Fellowship of DeGraff. If you are available, help is always welcome!
We have already started stocking the shelves in the room at Cornerstone Fellowship of DeGraff, where we pack bags usually on Tuesday, with help from the RTC Possibilities group.

Would you like a "Food Item Wish List" for items we use every week?  Please reply to Darlene Roll ([email protected]).

** Light Hours is a small group for our college age, if you are a young adult and would like a Bible study for your age group, let me know. We can get something started that fits your schedules! Let us know how we can meet your needs!

** Our Cornerstone Women's group is planning to meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month. The next meeting will take place on November 20th. They will be meeting at the church at 6:00 pm. Come for some fellowship and care, with some fun of course! Feel free to stop in and check it out!

** Our Cornerstone Men's group is breaking for Cornerstone Archery! Cornerstone Archery is OFF this week. We will be back next Tuesday Nov. 18th and setup will begin around 5:00 and sessions will go from 6:00 - 8:30 in the auditeria at Riverside Local School. 

** Youth Group Sunday Night!!! The team is working hard to continue to provide a space for our students, so look for our Youth group to get started in November on the 1st and 3rd Sunday nights coming up in November! The next Youth Group will be on Sunday night November 16th!

** Looking for people to join a new small group. Let me know what your availability is and we can find a way to start something new, or get you plugged into something that will fit your schedule!

** Advent Devotional - Devotions have been submitted and a work day is coming up! Tues, Nov. 11 @ 6:30 pm at Quincy – Work day for Advent Devotional 1 or 2 hours help is needed. . For questions call or text Julie 937-622-1352 We will be working on the covers and perhaps start to copy the devotional.

**Missions Moment - Produce Stand - The free produce stand will be closing down at the end of October. They will be using that space to setup a Nativity for the coming Advent season!

** We are now collecting brownie mix for the Five Loaves Food Pantry. We need 55 by November 16th. They give out meals and food boxes Wed. November 19th at 4:30 pm. If you would like to help pack and deliver boxes.

Two years ago we were On Mission! Worship - Reflect - Pray - Study - Serve - you can still use these methods! In 2023 we used the 5-S Method of Being The Church - Surrender - Surrounded - Spirit-Led - Self-Fed - Sent - All of these things are timeless and will always be helpful for us to measure whether or not we are "being" the "church".

Please pray this week for those who are sick and need healing, and those who you can share the love of Christ with! Do not forget to pray for your church, your community, and your pastor.
