** Upcoming Events:
** Action Steps to Healthy Biblical Emotions Step 1: Meditate on God's Word - 2 Timothy 3:16-17 - “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work” We get to know ourselves through study and knowing God. Step 2: Cultivate Christlike Emotions - Romans 12:15 - “Be happy with those who are happy, and weep with those who weep.” Scripture commands us to “forgive from the heart,” to “rejoice,” to “love with brotherly affection,” to “mourn with those who mourn,” to “fear,” to be “zealous,” to “yearn,” and to be “tenderhearted.” Step 3: Don't be afraid to feel emotions - Hebrews 4:15 - “This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin.” Jesus felt His emotions, allowed them to draw people to Himself, and didn’t sin. I believe we can follow His example! ** Pastor Mike will be in the office this Tuesday from 11:20 - 1 - after the final Lunch Buddies of the year! ** Faith Builders - If you are wanting to explore who God is, who we are, and what we believe as Methodists, you can still join us. In 2023 we used the 5-S Method of Being The Church - Surrender - Surrounded - Spirit-Led - Self-Fed - Sent - All of these things are timeless and will always be helpful for us to measure whether or not we are "being" the "church". Please pray this week for those who are sick and need healing, and those who you can share the love of Christ with! Do not forget to pray for your church, your community, and your pastor.
