**Action Steps to Living A Planted Life

Step 1: Root Yourself In Scripture: Psalm 119:105 “Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path." Let Scripture be the roots of your faith!

Step 2: Abide In Christ: John 15:4 - "Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me." Remain connected to the vine!

Step 3: Cultivate A Life of Prayer: Philippians 4: 6-7 - “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus."

** Pastor Mike will  NOT likely be in the office on any specific day this week. I now have a nurse visiting me everyday to unpack and pack my wound. I have a doctor follow up on Wednesday and will get more direction. My nurse thinks that it is healing nicely and they will stay the course for another couple weeks. 

** Last Sunday Worship Night - The combined teams from Quincy and Cornerstone made the decision to take a summer break for our Last Sunday Worship Nights. With vacations, graduations, and fair weeks, there will be limited availability for people to be involved. See you in August or September!

** Did you know that God has blessed you with a special set of skills and gifts? He has also called you to be involved and belong to this body of believers. Be prayerful over the possibilities that God is desiring to use you. There are many ways in which you can get involved. Reach out to Pastor Mike with the ways in which God is calling you to be active!

• Missions Committee Chairperson - Lead and organize all those who are already doing missions events and outreach from our Church to the community.
• Church Lay Leader - Represent the congregation by attending all meetings possible and being the voice of the church within each meeting.

No more packing!! The lunch in the park series will begin on Wednesdays and will be starting soon. Be on the lookout for when those Wednesday lunches will be available.

** Our Cornerstone Women's group is planning to meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month. The next meeting will take place on June 4th. They will be meeting at the church at 6:00 pm. Come for some fellowship and care, with some fun of course! Feel free to stop in and check it out!

** Our Cornerstone Men's Group will begin start back up on Wednesday June 10th! We will be looking at the book "Stand Firm and Act Like Men" by Joby Martin. Join us at 6:30! We will be meeting on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month!

** Youth Group Sunday Night!!! We will be back on the 1st and 3rd Sundays in May! Be on the lookout!

** Looking for people to join a new small group. Let me know what your availability is and we can find a way to start something new, or get you plugged into something that will fit your schedule!

**Jesus In The Old Testament Bible Study - We are looking for people who are available on Saturday mornings from 8:00 - 9:30 to join our Bible Study, led by Gerry Huseman and talking about how we find Jesus in the Old Testament. Please reply to this email if you are interested and we can get you on the list. Gerry will be making binders for every participant! Starting May 9th!

**Missions Moment - We are looking for a new Missions chairperson to lead us towards giving back to our community. If you are a good organizer with contacts within the community feel free to get in touch with us.

** We are collecting instant potatoes (mashed, scalloped, etc...) and we need 55 by June 14th. Meals and food boxes are delivered on Wed., June 17th at 4:30pm. If you would like to help pack and deliver boxes.
