**Action Steps for Being At Peace

Step 1: Understand God’s Purpose: Peace and Life - God loves you and wants you to experience peace and eternal life. “We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 5:1

Step 2: Believe in God’s Bridge: The Cross: Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose from the grave. He paid the penalty for our sin and bridged the gap between us and God. “For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus.” -1 Timothy 2:5

Step 3: Our Response: Receive Christ - We must trust and receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. “Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” John 1:12

** Each Month of 2024 we are going to have a Christian principle that we will focus on. Christian Principle for December - Love - “Put others before yourself by living the 12 Christian principles.” Jesus and the cross as the combination of all 12 principles: (John 3:16)

** I believe that all of our Advent Readers for December are complete! If you still want to be involved, let me know and I can find something for you to do or share!

** Who wants to go Christmas Caroling? Those interested in going out into the community and singing Christmas Carols, we will be meeting at the church at 5:00 on Dec. 22nd! Warm up those pipes and come sing with us!

**Grief Share Group - We have had the same two people over the past three months so they have decided that we will meet as necessary. If you would like to be a part of a grief sharing group, please let Pastor Mike know and we can get it back!

** The new website and email are active and are the new contact locations for all things Cornerstone Fellowship of DeGraff. https://www.cornerstonedegraff.org/ is online but still a work in progress. You are hopefully using the new [email protected] for the church email.

** There are positions available within the church for you to get involved and belong to this body of believers. Be prayerful over the possibilities that God is desiring to use you. 
- We are also looking for a Lay Leader for the church!
There are many more ways in which you can get involved. Reach out to Pastor Mike with the ways in which God is calling you to be active!

** Light Hours is a small group that is ready to get back on track. If you are a college age person and would like a Bible study for your age group, let me know. We can get something started that fits your schedules!

** Our Cornerstone Women's group is planning to meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month. The next meeting will take place on December 5th and they will be meeting at the church at 6:00 pm.

** Our Cornerstone Men's group needs to get started! I am going to be starting a Tuesday night group starting in the New Year! Let me know if you have an interest as we will begin a study on how we can be more Godly Men!! 

** 5th Quarter has come to a close. We are looking to create a small group that will begin to meet and discuss our plans for next year. Be looking out for the when and where!

** Looking for people to join a new small group. This group will meet once a month and will tackle a tough topic that takes some reflection. Think of it as a Bible study, but a little deeper! Want to go deeper? Let us know!

**Missions Moment - We will also be working through the school to find a way to help a family or families during the holidays!

** We are now collecting candy canes for the Five Loaves Food Pantry. We need 55 by Dec. 15th. They give out meals and food boxes Wed. Dec. 18th at 4:30 pm. If you would like to help carry boxes!

Thursday: Church Open 10-12 / Senior Lunch 11:00 / Administrative Council 7:00

Friday: Church Open 7-9 / AA Meeting at the church 8:00 - 9:00 pm
 
Next Sunday - December 15th - 3rd Sunday of Advent - The Heart of Christmas Brings Joy - John 1: 9-14 / Psalm 16:8-11 / Youth Christmas Program - Sunday School 9:30 / Worship 10:30

Two years ago we were On Mission! Worship - Reflect - Pray - Study - Serve - you can still use these methods! In 2023 we used the 5-S Method of Being The Church - Surrender - Surrounded - Spirit-Led - Self-Fed - Sent - We can still use the tools that we have been given to make sure that we have a fruitful relationship with God!

Please pray this week for those who are sick and need healing, and those who you can share the love of Christ with! Do not forget to pray for your church, your community, and your pastor.
