** Action Steps for Having Joy

Step 1: See The Big Picture - The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders; where morning dawns, where evening fades, you call forth songs of joy. Psalm 65:8

Step 2: Bring Joy To Others. We find real joy, when we see others experience joy. “Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.” Psalm 90:14

Step 3: Don't Sweat the Small Stuff - Keep the main thing the main thing. He sees your struggle and is there with you in it. “He came that we may have life and have it to the full.” John 10:10

** Each Month of 2024 we are going to have a Christian principle that we will focus on. Christian Principle for December - Love - “Put others before yourself by living the 12 Christian principles.” Jesus and the cross as the combination of all 12 principles: (John 3:16)

** I believe that all of our Advent Readers for December are complete! If you still want to be involved, let me know and I can find something for you to do or share!

**Grief Share Group - We have had the same two people over the past three months so they have decided that we will meet as necessary. If you would like to be a part of a grief sharing group, please let Pastor Mike know and we can get it back!

** The new website and email are active and are the new contact locations for all things Cornerstone Fellowship of DeGraff. https://www.cornerstonedegraff.org/ is online but still a work in progress. You are hopefully using the new [email protected] for the church email.

** There are positions available within the church for you to get involved and belong to this body of believers. Be prayerful over the possibilities that God is desiring to use you. 
- We are also looking for a Lay Leader for the church!
There are many more ways in which you can get involved. Reach out to Pastor Mike with the ways in which God is calling you to be active.

** G.R.A.C.E. notes for this week.

G.R.A.C.E. volunteers,

GRACE will be off for the Christmas break. Riverside Local Schools break begins on 12/23 and goes through 1/5.

** Light Hours is a small group for our college age, young adults and would like a Bible study for your age group, let me know. We can get something started that fits your schedules!

** Our Cornerstone Women's group is planning to meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month. The next meeting will take place on January 2nd and they will be meeting at the church at 6:00 pm.

** Our Cornerstone Men's group needs to get started! I am going to be starting a Tuesday night group starting in the New Year! Let me know if you have an interest as we will begin a study on how we can be more Godly Men!! 

** 5th Quarter has come to a close. We are looking to create a small group that will begin to meet and discuss our plans for next year. Be looking out for the when and where!

** Looking for people to join a new small group. This group will meet once a month and will tackle a tough topic that takes some reflection. Think of it as a Bible study, but a little deeper! Want to go deeper? Let us know!

**Missions Moment - We will also be working through the school to find a way to help a family or families during the holidays!

** We are now collecting candy canes for the Five Loaves Food Pantry. We need 55 by Dec. 15th. They give out meals and food boxes Wed. Dec. 18th at 4:30 pm. If you would like to help carry boxes!

Wednesday: Christmas Day! Celebrate the birth of Christ with your family and friends!

Thursday: Church Open 10-12 / Senior Lunch 11:00
 
Friday: Church Open 7-9 / AA Meeting at the church 8:00 - 9:00 pm
 
Next Sunday - December 29th - The Heart of Christmas Is Mission -  John 3: 16-21 / Psalm 67 - Sunday School 9:30 / Worship 10:30 

Two years ago we were On Mission! Worship - Reflect - Pray - Study - Serve - you can still use these methods! In 2023 we used the 5-S Method of Being The Church - Surrender - Surrounded - Spirit-Led - Self-Fed - Sent - We can still use the tools that we have been given to make sure that we have a fruitful relationship with God!

Please pray this week for those who are sick and need healing, and those who you can share the love of Christ with! Do not forget to pray for your church, your community, and your pastor.
