**Action Steps to Having Eternal Hope

Step 1: Study & Trust the Scriptures: Romans 15:4 “Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us. And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled.”

Step 2: Rely On The Holy Spirit: Romans 15:13 - “I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Step 3: Live for Eternity, Not Now: 1 Peter 2:11 - “Dear friends, I warn you as “temporary residents and foreigners” to keep away from worldly desires that wage war against your very souls.”

** Pastor Mike will  NOT likely be in the office on any specific day this week. This week will be recovering and healing and hopefully by the end of the week will not be in so much pain!

** Last Sunday Worship Night - If you were not able to be there last night, you missed a movement of the Holy Spirit. We learned about what Holy Week is all about, and we let the Holy Spirit cleanse us and heal us. I pray that you will be ready for April 26th which will take place at Cornerstone Fellowship of DeGraff.

** Did you know that God has blessed you with a special set of skills and gifts? He has also called you to be involved and belong to this body of believers. Be prayerful over the possibilities that God is desiring to use you. There are many ways in which you can get involved. Reach out to Pastor Mike with the ways in which God is calling you to be active!

• Missions Committee Chairperson - Lead and organize all those who are already doing missions events and outreach from our Church to the community.
• Church Lay Leader - Represent the congregation by attending all meetings possible and being the voice of the church within each meeting.

Packing is back on Tuesday at 9:30 for setup and packing at 10:00 am.

** Our Cornerstone Women's group is planning to meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month. The next meeting will take place on May 7th. They will be meeting at the church at 6:00 pm. Come for some fellowship and care, with some fun of course! Feel free to stop in and check it out!

** Our Cornerstone Men's Group will be off this week with hopes to begin again on Wednesday May 6th at 6:00 pm. Looking at moving to every other Wednesday so that we won't confuse it or conflict with Archery in the fall. 

** Youth Group Sunday Night!!! We will be back on the 1st and 3rd Sundays in March! Be on the lookout!

** Looking for people to join a new small group. Let me know what your availability is and we can find a way to start something new, or get you plugged into something that will fit your schedule!

**Jesus In The Old Testament Bible Study - We are looking for people who are available on Saturday mornings from 8:00 - 9:30 to join our Bible Study, led by Gerry Huseman and talking about how we find Jesus in the Old Testament. Please reply to this email if you are interested and we can get you on the list. Gerry will be making binders for every participant! Starting May 9th!

**Missions Moment - We are looking for a new Missions chairperson to lead us towards giving back to our community. If you are a good organizer with contacts within the community feel free to get in touch with us.

** We are collecting boxed cereal and we need 55 by May 17th. Meals and food boxes are delivered on Wed., May 20th at 4:30pm. If you would like to help pack and deliver boxes.
