**Action Steps to Be A Disciple

Step 1: Daily Renewal of Faith: Lamentations 3: 22-23 “The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. 23 Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.”

Step 2: Constant Endeavor to Align With Jesus: Ephesians 5: 1-2 - “Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. 2 Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.”

Step 3: Courage to Face the Sacrifice: 1 John 3:16 - “We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters.”

** Last Sunday Worship Night - Our last Sunday Night Worship on September 28th in Quincy was powerful! We are going to be making our October 26th Last Sunday worship night at Cornerstone Fellowship of DeGraff a "Pizza with the Pastor" night! Bring your questions. Personal, Biblical, Theological, bring all the questions. 

**Grief Share Group - Our grief group is currently on hiatus. If you would like to be a part of a grief sharing group, please let Pastor Mike know and we can get it back!

** Did you know that God has blessed you with a special set of skills and gifts? He has also called you to be involved and belong to this body of believers. Be prayerful over the possibilities that God is desiring to use you. 

- We are looking for a Lay Leader for the church! - Reach out to me if you are interested in what that means and if you want to think about how God might think you fit.

There are many more ways in which you can get involved. Reach out to Pastor Mike with the ways in which God is calling you to be active!

Packing for weekend backpacks are on Tuesdays at 10:00 am at Cornerstone Fellowship of DeGraff. If you are available, help is always welcome!
We have already started stocking the shelves in the room at Cornerstone Fellowship of DeGraff, where we pack bags usually on Tuesday, with help from the RTC Possibilities group.
Would you like a "Food Item Wish List" for items we use every week?  Please reply to Darlene Roll ([email protected]).
Mondays in October "Soup & Sandwich Drive-Thru" evenings are every Monday Night from 6-7! Last Monday Quincy Methodist provided meals and were out within 30 minutes! 

** Light Hours is a small group for our college age, if you are a young adult and would like a Bible study for your age group, let me know. We can get something started that fits your schedules! Let us know how we can meet your needs!

** Our Cornerstone Women's group is planning to meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month. The next meeting will take place on November 6th. They will be meeting at the church at 6:00 pm. Come for some fellowship and care, with some fun of course! Feel free to stop in and check it out!

** Our Cornerstone Men's group is breaking for Cornerstone Archery! If you want to come and help, we would love to have you! We will pick our new book back up in December!

** 5th Quarter is down to one last Friday night October 24th !! We had 113 kids that were there for the last one! The team is working hard to continue to provide a space for our students, so look for the 1st and 3rd Sunday nights coming up in November and December!

** Looking for people to join a new small group. Let me know what your availability is and we can find a way to start something new, or get you plugged into something that will fit your schedule!

** Advent Devotional - We need to get busy on submitting our selections to Julie Wick. If you complete your selection make sure it is turned into Julie by Oct. 15th! You can email them or hand them to Pastor as well as Julie to get them collected so that they have time to compile them into our Advent booklet!

**Missions Moment - Produce Stand - The free produce stand will be closing down at the end of October. They will be using that space to setup a Nativity for the coming Advent season!

** We are now collecting brownie mix for the Five Loaves Food Pantry. We need 55 by November 16th. They give out meals and food boxes Wed. November 19th at 4:30 pm. If you would like to help pack and deliver boxes.

Wednesday: Bible Study - 10:00 am / Praise Team Practice 6:00 pm / Choir Practice 6:45 pm / Pastor Mike’s Quick Shots 8:00 pm on Facebook or Youtube.

Thursday: Church Open 10-12 / Senior Lunch 11:00 / Worship Meeting 7

Friday: Church Open 2:30 - 4:30 

Next Sunday - October 26th - Come And Drink - John 7: 33-43 / Psalm 91: 1-5 - Sunday School 9:30 / Worship 10:45 / Last Sunday Night Worship - Pizza With The Pastor - 6:00
 
Two years ago we were On Mission! Worship - Reflect - Pray - Study - Serve - you can still use these methods! In 2023 we used the 5-S Method of Being The Church - Surrender - Surrounded - Spirit-Led - Self-Fed - Sent - All of these things are timeless and will always be helpful for us to measure whether or not we are "being" the "church".

Please pray this week for those who are sick and need healing, and those who you can share the love of Christ with! Do not forget to pray for your church, your community, and your pastor.
