Step 1: Accept God’s Timing. - God’s time is different from our time. The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. He is patient. 2 Peter 3: 8-9

Step 2: Trust in God’s Goodness - Abraham waited 25 years for the son that God had promised him. Moses waited 40 years in the wilderness before leading the Israelites out of Egypt. Proverbs 3:5-6

Step 3: Prepare For God’s Timing - Be ready. Step into the vision that God has given you, and start working towards His vision! Matthew 25:13

** Each Month of 2024 we are going to have a Christian principle that we will focus on. Christian Principle for October - Patience - “Wait until later for what you want now.” The story of Joseph: (Genesis 37-50)

** We are participating in the Allegheny West Conference Hurricane Relief. Here are the details as we collect our offering over the coming weeks. Once you've collected your offering, please send it to the conference. You can send by mail to: Allegheny West Annual Conference, 700 Taylor Road, Suite 235, Gahanna, OH 43230. Mark the check “Hurricane Helene Relief.” Payments can also be made securely on our website at: https://alleghenywestgmc.org/special-offering/ (Check the box labeled Hurricane Helene Relief).

** In case you missed it - Jeff Greenway our Conference Superintendent and soon to be Bishop in the Global Methodist Church, spoke at Russell Road Church in Sidney last night and it was an incredible moment of teaching and empowerment. **Grief Share Group - We have had the same two people over the past three months so they have decided that we will meet as necessary. If you would like to be a part of a grief sharing group, please let Pastor Mike know and we can get it back!

** The new website and email are active and are the new contact locations for all things Cornerstone Fellowship of DeGraff. https://www.cornerstonedegraff.org/ is online but still a work in progress. You are hopefully using the new [email protected] for the church email.

** There are positions available within the church for you to get involved and belong to this body of believers. Be prayerful over the possibilities that God is desiring to use you. 
- We are also looking for a Lay Leader for the church!
There are many more ways in which you can get involved. Reach out to Pastor Mike with the ways in which God is calling you to be active!

We will provide "Soup & Sandwich Nights" in October.
Monday evenings - 5;00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
We are still looking at who is doing what week.  Here is what we have so far.  Cornerstone Fellowship & Stony Creek will each take a week that is remaining.
October 28th -  Final Night!
We have 8 ounce soup bowls with lids for use each week.

Funding update:
God is listening to our prayers!  
Sarah M & LuCinda - I wanted to let you know that some funds will be coming for the G.R.A.C.E. account.  Also, Sarah, would you please let me know when each of these funds are in our bank account?
$500 - I will be depositing that today or tomorrow.  From a Bellefontaine businessman and his wife.
$2,000 - Vickie Strayer said today that a check will be coming from Philadelphia Lutheran Church.
$1,000 for 3 months - LuCinda indicated funds would come from Cornerstone Fellowship of DeGraff.
$4,000 - Per a note from Jenni at Cargill, they approved our grant request and we should see a check in about a month.
There will be a donation from Stony Creek Church but I don't have that amount yet.
We will not know until the end of November what United Way funding we may receive. If we are awarded money, it normally comes in January.
We are truly blessed to have many prayers each day, willing volunteers, and funding.

** Light Hours is a small group that is ready to get back on track. If you are a college age person and would like a Bible study for your age group, let me know. We can get something started that fits your schedules!

** Our Cornerstone Women's group is planning to meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month. The next meeting will take place on November 7th at 6:00 pm. 

** Our Cornerstone Men's group needs to get started! We are looking for men who are willing to be leaders and take back our faith and our strength! Let Pastor Mike know if you are willing to be a man who leads in our church!

** 5th Quarter has come to a close. We had 97 kids who were there on purpose, for a purpose. We are looking to create a small group that will begin to meet and discuss our plans for next year. Be looking out for the when and where!

** Looking for people to join a new small group. This group will meet once a month and will tackle a tough topic that takes some reflection. Think of it as a Bible study, but a little deeper! Want to go deeper? Let us know!

**Missions Moment - We are looking forward to continuing the free produce tent downtown until the end of September, so feel free to share what you may have too much of. We are looking forward to Halloween so start looking for family friendly DVDs and candy so that we can have a great turn out in town!

**Jeff Greenway (our Conference President) will visit our Circuit on Oct 13-14.  He is preaching at Tipp City on Sunday morning, Oct 13.  Sunday afternoon, 4:00 pm he will speak at Russell Road GMC, 340 West Russell Road, Sidney, Ohio.  This is for all of your church folks.  This will be a great time to ask questions! On Monday morning, 10:00 am, Jeff will meet with pastors (and staff) at Sidney First GMC, 230 East Poplar Street, Sidney, Ohio.  I’m eager to hear the new ripples coming out of the General Conference. What’s next?
